We have been writing cinquain poems. The first line of the poem is one topic word or noun, the second line has two adjectives, the third lines has three verbs and the last line is a simile.
The children then turned them into digital stories using Photo Story 3 all by themselves. They took their own photo, recorded their voice, wrote their titles, and picked their music.

The Life Cycle of a Plant
The children in Room 15 have made these stop motion movies showing the life cycle of a plant. They used the cameras by themselves and worked as groups to draw their Life Cycles.

Happy Feet
We have been watching Happy Feet the Penguin. He looks a bit bored in his cage. He had to get sticks and stones taken out of his stomach. We hope he gets better soon! Maybe we could take him to Christchurch and put him in the Antarctic center.
